BETA MARINE LTD., UNITED KINGDOM Beta Marine was established in 1987 by four directors and is currently in its nineteenth trading year. Beta Marine produce a range of Marine Diesel Propulsion engines based on Kubota from 10 to 90hp, and marine generator sets up to 1100kVA. Based in Gloucestershire, we are currently producing over 1500 units annually with 39 employees. Our sales to Export Markets account for 40% of our production, through over 40 distributors worldwide. Beta Marine is a major player in the inboard Diesel market, the last published, UK sales figures in 1996 indicated that Beta outsold Volvo and Yanmar by 15% in the engine range 10 to 50hp. Beta's production quantities in 2003 are over three times that of 1996! Our engines are supplied to a variety of Yachts, Cruisers, canal boats, Workboats and Fishing Boats.
